CBD and Cancer

Can CBD be an effective natural cancer treatment alternative?
Can CBD be an effective natural cancer treatment alternative?

Next we will deal with a very delicate subject that generates a lot of controversy among the public: the relationship between cannabidiol and cancer and how this substance extracted from the marijuana plant can help in many occasions to these patients who are affected by this horrible disease.
It is known that the use of CBD to treat some diseases has been really effective. We are not talking about miracles or healing, but it is often a strong ally against pain and has even helped to reduce some symptoms.
Diseases such as epilepsy, anxiety, schizophrenia and even acne, have seen a small ray of light thanks to the therapeutic use of marijuana.

How does cannabidiol work?

Cannabidiol or CBD oil, as it is also known, has already been shown to have a number of therapeutic benefits over the years. This has to do, among other things, with the fact that when this oil is extracted from the plant, THC is eliminated and, therefore, the substance that activates the psychoactive receptors is eliminated. Only other hormone receptors are activated, generating a variant of medical marijuana.
That is, it acts directly on the human organism and not only on the nervous and sensorineural systems.

Cancer Treatment with CBD

First, first of all, we are not claiming that marijuana treatment for cancer will end with this disease. However, its components do exert a number of benefits that allow a patient to feel secure in using cannabis against cancer. This is because the effects act directly on the endocannabinoid system.
This system could be defined as the way our body’s cells act towards each other. Because these cells are found in all tissues and organisms of the human body, not just in the neural part.
Effects and outcomes of CBD cancer treatment in people
Professor Guzmán, of the Complutense University of Madrid, developed the first existing clinical trial of its kind in Spain to demonstrate how cannabis works in a patient and whether marijuana is beneficial for cancer.
That study used nine subjects with advanced stage cancer to study the antitumor effects cannabinoids might have on them.
Eight of these individuals received a positive response to this study from their bodies. The remaining person did not change his or her condition. The most interesting thing about this study is that none of the patients suffered any negative effects.
Subsequently, we have seen cases and studies where cancer patients have used CBD oil to lead a more peaceful life and recover from the adverse effects suffered by chemotherapy treatments.
Thanks to the medicinal use of cannabis they have been able to treat their pain, hair loss and even begin to gain weight.
Other of the most curious investigations are the effects caused by cannabidiol against breast cancer, where it has been proven that this substance extracted from marijuana has reduced the size and area of a metastasis, as this scientific study says

How to take CBD for cancer?

The most common way to consume CBD is in oil mode. Normally, it is sold in small bottles that include an eyedropper so that you can easily and comfortably supply it. However, there are more ways to take cannabidiol.
Vaporizers also, thanks to the filling of the CBD liquid, can be a method of drinking it. Knowing that the result does not stay in the lungs in a harmful way but, once they have been stored in that area, the CBD will be absorbed by the blood. This way, your intake is more direct and faster than with the previous method.
Other forms of consumption are in paste or capsules. The paste is taken with a syringe and the capsule is filled with paste in case the taste of the paste is unpleasant. In both cases, the resulting product goes directly to the stomach and is stored there until it is absorbed.
Plus, one of the advantages of the capsules is that they are more convenient to carry, so you can easily carry them in your backpack or work bag without any problems.
In short, you are free to choose the option that suits you best. What is recommended is that you consult with an expert about the exact amount you should take depending on the situation you find yourself in.

Conclusion

After the above, we would like to emphasize that CBD treatment is not a method by which cancer can be completely overcome.
However, after numerous studies, it can be said from the research and experiences of those affected that cannabidiol has been an ally in this fight.
To a greater or lesser extent, it has served to cure some symptoms, reduce the situation of tumors in some cases and facilitate the daily life of those suffering from this disease. Just for this last statement alone, it is worthwhile for a person in a similar case to prove the benefits of this method.
